Pom Size Comparison

We have designed this page based on your requests to see side by side comparisons of our most popular styles and sizes.  If there is a comparison you don't see on this page, but would like to, please email our Customer Service Department (custserv@pomexpress.com) and we'll try to get some photos for you.

All poms are photographed in the "inactive" position, on a flat surface and are fully fluffed.
All pom measurements consist of the strand length and width. 
The strand length is measured from where the strands come out
of the handle (or in the case of cheerballs, from the center of the pom).  Strand length is simply the width of a single pom strand.

Cheerball Comparison:
5", 7" and 9" Cheerballs with 3/4" wide strands (shown with 12" ruler).

The shorter and wider the strands, the better the Cheerball will hold its shape.

Youth Pom Comparison::

It may be difficult to see the difference between the 5" and the 6" pom in this picture, but the 6" (center pom) is much fuller.  When in doubt, always go to the next biggest size!!

Remember, all the poms shown in the pictures above are in the "inactive" position. 
Poms are going to look different when they are in motion. 
If you want less movement in your poms, go with wider widths.  For a lot of movement, use the thinner strands.
Also, if you want less movement in your poms, go with shorter lengths.  For a lot of movement, go with longer lengths.
